As Summer Fades

I really launched a full proper collection after posting my artwork online all year. This year was kind of big for me. I announced that I’m retiring from wedding photography and I’m truly pursing art full time now. Earlier this month I rented a booth at Frisco Mercantile in Frisco Texas right north of Dallas/FW area. I hope to create a new collection every month and share it on the first of the following month. I am starting now!! Let’s do it. :) I have two more months of major hardcore wedding photography and starting in November I will have a lighter lifestyle going forwards. I imagine this next month and October will be a little harder to create art but I knew I just needed to do it!

The collection was inspired by how much I love the late fall sun and how it glows all around our scenery. I also love how the color starts to fade from the bright spring colors to vibrant summer to faded fall. I just love all of that! I love watching seasons change. As a wedding photographer I saw SO much of this country and all the roads I drove to location to location showed me how beautiful this world is. I love nature and I love how everything changes through the year.

I remember always missing the green every winter.

I hope to include a handful of larger pieces every collection and some small companion pieces. At the time of me posting this blog post I have sold about a 1/3 of my collection. I plan to take everything that doesn’t sell in 3-4 days to my new booth!

I know as a business owner I needed to have a system so I thought this would help me fill the booth and build up my business.

Thank you for following a long.
